Even if you could somehow trigger it to stay on continuously, it would still cut off quite frequently. Because the element in the fog machine needs time to heat up the next "batch" of fog juice before it can become real fog.
You should be able to buy a timed trigger for it, where it would shoot fog every so often with out having to manually trigger it.
