I posted this in the Lab Rats thread but figured I'd share with Props as well for any suggestions or tips!

Still work to be done (how to get the brain in the blue jar to show up better, fixing lighting and air flow into the eyeball jar, little accessories, etc.) but I couldn't help but do a test run of my lab set-up now that the main pieces are nearing completion.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the kind words!

The heart is an old iPhone playing a heart animation from the "MorphSuits" app. It's pretty nice that you can use the app for free without actually buying one of their costumes.

That's what I thought it was, but I couldn't find it on the site. I saw different ones but not that one. Is it still there?

If you go to this one in the app, once it starts playing on the screen double tap it to go through the options. There's snakes, maggots, gears and then the better looking heart I used.

My only suggestion about the brain is maybe use a different light? If you think of the color wheel the blues and violets are really close together and from what I can tell the Brain itself is a pretty muted gray color. Also the dark hues add more shadow to the overall jar in a dark room. So possibly a "Hornet Yellow" or maybe even a lemon-lime type color might be better suited. Otherwise Great Job!!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion! I was considering that as well but the problem is I built the base with the blue EL wire built into it and trying to replace that with another color would require taking things apart, and I like the idea of each "vessel" being one uniform color.

Sooo... I went the opposite route. I used the 20% off coupon at Spirit and got a replacement brain that is pink and better positioned it. I think it's looking better, at least more noticeable. I had painted the other brain grain for a more realistic look of a brain that has been sitting in water, but you're right it was too close to the blue to show up.
