Hey, thanks for all the comments. My internet connection has been down, so I haven't been able to respond.
Deadna: It doesn't weigh that much. I looked for the cheaper pallets, where the wood bows when you step on it, not the strong heavy ones. It makes a world of difference in the weight, and the light wood seems to be rougher too. Makes it look aged, I think. The pictures were taken in the basement where i put up the walk thru haunted house each year. If you look close you can see a skeleton, gargoyle, and several lanterns on top of the shelves. when i run out of room it just goes anywhere I can find.
Terra: I'm still deciding what to do with it. I'd like to do a little more out front of the house this year. Had a small graveyard last year, I'd love to add a fence, and a crypt if I have time.
Nox: I used three pallets. One had six inch wide boards that made the sides, one had four inch boards for the lid and one was a mixture of the both that I used to fill out both. The back is quarter inch plywood and I used furring strips for the bracing.
I want to build at least one more full sized and partial one that looks like it's coming up out of the ground. I'll post those when I get them done.
