I got around to making a firepit for my witches cauldron this year. I totally ripped the idea off of a couple of tutorials I found on this site. Props to Riverborder, loach160, and jpbailey1for your tutorials.

This one is for under my cauldron, but I will be making a few more. For this I used a bunch of styrofoam skulls I got from kmart after halloween last year for about $1 each, a couple of battery powered lights from amazon, $8 each, an old bin lid, and good stuff with some black paint.

I cut out the center of the skulls, made eyes and a mouth with a drywall saw And then strung lights through the skulls. Other than that I stuck to the tutorials above and it worked well.

I made another one today and corpsed a skeleton which I set up to look like its trapped in the coals, I like the way it turned out but the pictures and lighting don't do it justice.

Btw...... I found some good lights which I used to light up the guy coming out of the coals. It's basically a small round remote controlled, weatherproofed light that you can set for a couple of different colors. Red went perfect with this prop and lit up the body.

Very nice work, the coals look excellent and the corpse came out great. How did you do the corpsing on that guy?

Thanks. I used a cheap plastic tarp, heat gun and some stain. I learned the method watching this tutorial by Stiltbeast studios. It's fast, cheap, relatively easy and looks pretty good.

Just finished the cauldron I started a couple of months ago. I will post better pictures tonight with the fire and cauldron lit up, but am excited it's finally done and everything is coming together
