Just wanted to report on my experience with this product. Although expensive (349.00) it worked perfectly. My only issue was a blown fuse, but that was because I had too much running to it. Once I ran an extension cord inside, it worked wonderfully. Set up was easy (I'm not that handy...) and I was able to email customer support with questions; they would reply the same day. I didn't use the dimmer, but I would highly recommend this product. One thing I would invest in: quality speakers. I think I blew mine out...but it was fun scaring the kids with every booming lightning strike. :) If you want more info: http://www.lights-alive.com/ctrl_firefly.html

I love mine. I bought it because what it can do. Very versital(I spelled it wrong). You can have the house lights dim when the lightning hits. Very nice feature that know one else offers. I will be sending mine in for the upgrade soon. You can set it to 4 channel stereo or 2 channel stereo, mono, and maybe stereo 2 channel with mono 2 channel(not sure on this though). You get 2 cd's, one for LED panels or incandescent. Here is a video of it in action.

Note that the video is kinda crappy. I had 3 100watt pure light light bulbs on each side of the yard. The one light box I had on top of the roof. Which worked nicely. I hope this helps.
