It's about 65 degrees out this morning, the sun is shining bright and there's an awesome breeze outside! Poured myself a hot cup of apple cider, so now I think I'll scroll through the forum and try to forget about the heat wave coming this week that's going to knock us up to about 90+ each day :D A few more weeks and hopefully it'll be like this every day!

We had beautiful Fall-like weather for about two weeks...highs in the 70's, lows in the 50's, warm sunshine, blue skies, cool breezes...then September arrives and the temps instantly jumped up and it's been in the 90's and miserable all week. How backwards is that?? Mother Nature is playing a cruel joke, giving us Fall weather in August then giving us awful summer weather in September! I am counting down the days until Tuesday when the weather we are supposed to be having in mid September finally comes back...70's again.

I'm waiting for cooler weather, but it tends to get warmer here through the end of September/mid-October.... We're lucky that it is only going up to the low-80's today! I can enjoy my morning coffee without sweating!

I can't imagine living in Nevada with those temps Ghostly Gal! :(

Out here we consider anything under 100 as "cool" and temps in the 70s as "cold". We had a few days with temps up to 120 in June. But it's a "dry heat" so it's not too horrible. :D

*looks out window* Nope, summer has a firm hold out there. Leaves are falling off some of the trees, but that is because of drought. The weather report says that the humidity is lower. It didn't feel like it when I mowed the front lawn though.

Reporting from West coast here and the last few nights have been cool and even the days inland were on the cool side. Morning fog from the ocean. Love it. Today started off cool in the 60s when I went for Starbucks at 9ish but fog's burned off and back to feeling pretty warm and skies are blue. Like many of you we are suppose to warm up to the 90s again this week.

So last few weeks I've noticed a few crows sitting up on the street lights, they seem to welcome fall in. We're in a semi-rural area so it's fun to see the corn high and crops being harvested.

Last week I drove past a field that had lot of orange round shapes all over it! Hasn't been cold enough for the deciduous trees to start changing colors yet but we're starting to prepare our house and yard for fall/winter and hoping our area gets some of the rain we need this season...just not at halloween time I hope!

Someone posted they just had some hot apple cider...yum. Not seeing the fall drinks in Starbucks yet but I did pick up some Extra "Seasonal Edition" Pumpkin Spice gum at Walgreens today, in fact chewing it now. Pretty good, the flavor lasts. I heard on the news a week or so ago that I think it was McDonalds is going to have pumpkin flavored drinks to kind of compete with Starbucks this year. Haven't seen it yet. Also bought some Pumpkin Spiced mini cupcakes from the grocery store last night. Bring it on!

Oh and last night we actually threw an extra blanket on the bed and both of us have worn jackets in the morning and at night.

Even though we are in the 90's, that cool two weeks we had prior did get the trees "just" beginning to turn colors. You can see little hints of color here and there. There are some trees losing leaves, as well, but it's hard to know if it's normal Fall leaves falling, or if it's because of the sudden heat and no rain...

Stepped outside in the 61 degree weather and it definitely felt like autumn.

When I was outside at 50-some degrees in the evening, it was definitely feeling like weather I've trick-or-treated in as a child!
Same thing here this morning, suppose to warm up to mid 70s this afternoon, but I'll take the cool while I can!
