HA HA HA! Did you get video?Terra, at least yours doesn't look like it's having an epileptic fit, my first dayton was a mislabeled motor, it was supposed to be 6 RPM, but when I hooked it up I found it to be the 120 RPM model!!

I sent that motor back and got the right one.
No I was too horrified at the destruction of my poor ghost....Frank is the second incarnation of my FCG and unfortunately did not come out as nice as the firstHA HA HA! Did you get video?
Thanks, Terra! I actually do have another, more "traditional" FCG I built about 5 years ago using the good ol' Dayton gearmotor and it looks more like yours. She goes in one of the downstairs window and this new guy goes upstairs. Maybe I'll work on lowering the speed of my original FCG to be a little more *creepy*

I guess it was similar to using a gas lawn mower as an FCG mechanism, with the blade as the crank!
(Don't try this--it doesn't work. Believe me, I know!!)
I think it should...I used a dimmer to adjust the speed of my Axworthy Ghost a few years ago and that was powered with the motor from an old ceiling fan, which is plain-ol' 120V just like the Dayton motors.
