Knott's Scary was good, enjoyed Ruby Falls haunt in TN. As a child I grew up with Amiling Haunted house, considered one of the first pro-haunts, opening in 1950, so fond memories of it. Most memorable was in Seattle a one time only haunt done by a group of artists in an unfinished office building.

I've actually seen pictures of so many fantastic haunts by members here, that I would love to visit one day! In the meantime, I would suggest that just stopping by the locations of your local-rich history regarding 'bizarre' occurrences offer the best haunt energy you will ever find.

My very first haunted attraction was an empty dental building in Burbank, CA. in '77 or '78. I took my younger sisters and one of their friends, and it was awesome.
After Halloween was over, they immediately tore it down.

Late 80s/early 90s, Maniac Manor in Ogden Utah. Granted I was a teen at the time, so that plays into it, but I've yet to witness anything quite as immersive. Local legends I don't know how accurate indicate they had halfway house folks as actors and one snapped one night and attacked someone for real, which led to the closing mid-late 90s. The building burned down a little later.

Couple things I recall vividly were an asylum section where the actor in a straight jacket would SPRINT from his corner at you and a hidden harness would catch and he'd swing up over your heads.
Creepy crawling actors in this same section up on top of the bars over your head.
Actors BUNGIE JUMPING OFF THE ROOF as you exited, screaming and leaping, to rebound right over you.
And the only thing to ever make me absolutely lose my mind and RUN from. All the way to the car. Picture the end of Alien. Catwalk, industrial tubes and pipes. Fog blasing out of pipes, yellow light spinning over head actor in jacket telling you to run, and the FREAKING ALIEN COMES OUT HIDDEN FROM THE FOGGING TUBES. Yep. Gone. Totally gone.
