Does anyone know if HGTV is having another Halloween show this year. Another Extreme Halloween or something.(New Show of course)

They haven't had a new Extreme Halloween yet, so I'm not counting on it. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll toss us a bone with something else.
YOu know, I don't think it is fair. The Christmas people always get a new show. What about us?
Yeah! This is Holidayism!! We deserve our portion of the pie! ;)
I read the thing about "Haunted House presented etc" It looks like a simple thing to help you haunt your house. Not like people like you and me that actually do it. That is what I was looking for.

Oh, I forgot to say thank you for looking all this up. Thanks.
Deleted because posted in a wrong section. Sorry.
As I appreciated what you have done for me Ghost of Spookie, but I don’t think you understand what I am looking for here. I did send you a pm explaining myself and changed the title of the thread.. And I can guarantee you I am no newbie to this forum or any other Halloween type forum.

So that I don’t turn this into something it shouldn’t and have Larry on my butt, let me explain. I was looking for a show such as Extreme Halloween or “What with this scary house.” These shows are mainly about haunters showing their yard display. They don’t deal with how to make decorations. And that is the type of shows I was looking for. I know Fearnet has these same shows, but I was more hoping HGTV had a new one.

Sorry, Deathtouch. I was delusional and thought I was posting on another thread about HSN (I know looks like HGTV right?..). I'm trying to make changes to thread now. I have watched HGTV's extreme Halloween in the past and love it so I do know what you're talking about actually. I think you posted on the HSN thread about this and I got confused.
I was hoping it was something like that. LOL

But I still need to know if they are coming out with another extreme Halloween. And this time no Dragon Lady Sue. She is cocky enough. We can't live with her any more. LOL
Is it me or does HGTV play reruns from 05, 06, 07? IMO, I haven't seen any new shows coming up.. this year at least
This is all I could find so far that will air on HGTV:

What's With That Really Haunted Halloween House? - October 31, 2009 @ 2amET/PT. Since it's airing Halloween morning I suspect it's a repeat. They give so little info on the show, no way to know production date.
I don't know what it is called or when it will air but I got an email from a production company asking for participants in a Halloween show for HGTV. We entered a Halloween home decorating contest last year and they got our name that way. I didn't enter because I didn't have time to take pictures of everything they wanted by the next day, the deadline. But I have heard around town that one of the houses they chose, here in town, got to keep all the props, 2 truck loads worth!! I am so jealous. Anyway, here is the email they had sent me:

"Dear friends and neighbors,

**** ***** suggested I get in contact with you regarding a television
show on HGTV we are producing.

We are producing a special Halloween television show on HGTV (Home & Garden
Television)! We’re looking for fun,
out-going and energetic homeowners who go "all out" decorating their houses
just for this fun & festive holiday!
Ideally, we'd like to feature 3 houses on the same street. You'll be part
of this makeover show with 3 of today’s
hottest party planners & designers to see who can create the most elaborate
Halloween headquarters on the block!
All candidates must be available the first week of August 3, 2009.

If you are interested, please get in touch with us right away!
Deadline: Friday, July 10, 2009!

Please send in the following;
1) Your name
2) Your phone number(s)
3) A recent photo of your immediate family
4) A few photos of your house (for example, a wide shot exterior of your
house along with a few wide shots of the inside of your main rooms)
5) A few photos of your house fully decked out in Halloween decor and/or a
description of decorations you already
have!

We look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks so much!"

So keep on the lookout for this show. So excited to see the town I live in on here!

That's cool Tish! It's nice to have someone with the inside track on things like this. I always enjoy shows like this and even extreme Christmas-type of shows. I hope it's not going to be a store-bought prop show however. Two truck loads of stuff huh? Too bad you didn't have more time to pull things together. It would have been fun to see someone here get featured. Let us know if you hear anymore on this...maybe your local paper or TV channel will carry a story about it. Did you ever find out the name of the show?

You know after thinking more about your post I seem to remember a show, done in a series of 5 or six episodes maybe, that I watched last year that involved a competition between three or four neighbors. I think it was Christmas-themed however. This maybe the same show with just a different holiday to work from. I saved it to DVD so will have to look to see what the name of it was. If so, it was based on families coming up with a plan for their house and yard, buying the materials to build the props, and then the construction phase, set up stage, and then the judging to determine the family with the coolest yard display.

Hmm. Well found my dvds of the show. It was during Xmas time and called "Deck the Yard" and aired on DIY Network. Here's a link to the production company, Tentmakers Entertainment. The Deck the Yard episodes pitted neighbors in Charlotte and then subsequently did a show in Chicago. This production company produces content shows for DIY and HGTV as well as other cable networks. TentMakers Entertainment

Even though Deck the Yard is the wrong holiday, the prop building skills are the same and if you see this show being repeated you might like to catch it.
I think on DIY last year they also had a series of half hour shows called Witch Crafts or something like that. It was mostly small crafts, but I want to say they did a plywood tombstone and some other neat things.
I loved the What's Up with the Scary Halloween House show. Hopefully, someone will come up with more information on this topic.
