Two years ago I did an Escape Room in my basement. It was a hit, but I didn't get to enjoy the party because I kept having to go reset the room. Soooo, last year I did a variation. Each guest who wanted to participate was the victim for a designated amount of time. During this time the other guests tried to get all the locks unlocked. If they didn't succeed within the designated amount of time (which they didn't!! hee hee hee) then someone else would take the place of the victim. This worked well, because I had it upstairs where the party was happening and didn't have to 'reset' anything. I want to do the same thing this year and have it go along with my theme, which is Arachnophobia. I'm thinking of having the victims in a spiders web or wrapped up in something resembling spider webbing. I need help with the following:
How can I do the victims so that I can change out the person quickly and easily?
Ideas on puzzles and clues that will go along with my theme.

Not knowing your setup but in my mind a mock office or living room type setting might b ideal...but an attic setup could b pretty awesome!!!
Some quick ideas
1) u could hide a message in a web using crochet or something like this (in all white and smaller so it's not as noticeable) https://www.apartmenttherapy.com/personalized-spiderwebhow-to-130403
2) u could have several insect (taxidermy ?) frames with their scientific names typed out under them and under the spider have a clue (If the clue is longer than one word write it as one word so it looks like a scientific name ).
3) u could have a book or computer open to an "article" about how spiders make cocoons...leading them to look through several cocoons (1 of which hold a special clue or key...this could b written on a crumpled piece of paper in a victims hand or simply written under the webbing)
4) u could also have some some spiders hid around the area with LETTERS hidden in designs painted on their backs mimicking the yellow garden spiders, this would require them to write down the letters and descramble them to figure out the clue.

For the victim maybe u could do up a fake cocoon facade with mache and webbing(similar to those used in photo ops with the head exposed).

These are all awesome ideas! I loved the one about having letters on the spiders and then they have to unscramble the letters to get the clue.
