I'm curious if anyone has ever taken on the task of creating their own electronic shooting gallery? Was watching a show on Animal Planet which shows Daniels Wood Land creating things for their clients. They are located in Paso Robles, California. My family was some of the founding pioneers in Paso Robles....Just a side note. LOL.

Anyway, they even create shooting galleries and I thought if a person could figure out the mechanics of something like that, it would be pretty cool to do as a halloween display. It would be a HUGE project I'm sure. I would just love to find a site that would even explain the mechanics, just out of curiosity.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Thunderstorms, tornados, flooding here. Typical May in Oklahoma!

Hm, not something I'd really have considered building because, as you say, huge project.

If you wanted to see something similar up close in person, you could go to *shudders* Branson, to Silver Dollar City. They've got a flooded mine ride, where you sit in a boat and float around a course that's a whole shooting gallery, kind of like this. It's certainly not a new attraction, either, so I don't think this is much in the way of new technology as far as the targets go.

Yeah, I'm the one building the shooting gallery. :)

I came across the Daniels Wood Land shooting galleries while during research and was blown away. Really awesome stuff! Theirs is all pneumatic (I believe) and is run by a Windows based computer system.

I'm attempting to use Arduino and probably Raspberry Pi for mine. Been looking for an excuse to mess around with Arduino boards anyway. I haven't had as much time to work on it lately, but I am determined to get it up and running for Halloween.

I've been documenting my progress on my YouTube channel, so feel free to check that out:
