I got a few questions on how I make my eyeballs, so here's a video on making a mold to churn out as many peepers as you want!

Very nice simple tutorial. This should get quite a few folks into creating their own props.

Just thought you might get a kick out of this. Its one of my personal favorite scenes. The gut buster Check Point Chickie.

You make molding look so easy...but I'm still scared. ;) Is the board under the clay eyeballs anything special to keep the silicone from sticking to it?
Great tutorial, I am going to try and make one this weekend!!

It's melamine from the hardware store. You could also use a tile or anything flat and kinda smooth. Silicone only sticks to silicone, so you don't have to worry about that. Just read the directions for your silicone to make sure it won't be inhibited (prevented from curing) by any of the materials you use.

Inhibition, by the way, is really only a concern with platinum cure silicones (like the Rebound). The primary culprits are sulfur in some clays (in fact, if it doesn't say sulfur free clay, it's probably not) and latex (gloves).

But again, if you're worried, give it a go with plain old paster and get the feel for it. You can run it under water to help pop the hot glue out.

I have a bag of free six inch green Christmas ornaments. A little paint and I will have a whole porch of these. Does anyone have any evil optometrist art?

Subscribing so I can find this later. Going to try to make our little guest bathroom into an "eyeball room."
There is a great eyeball thread using ping pong balls, red wool for veins, red nail polish (or paint) and printable pupils.
Does anyone know if you can use the silicone baking things as a mold???
aero4ever I don't see why not!

Thank you!
Thank you for the info!! I need a few sets of these!
