This was a Gemmy classic although there were a few knock-offs by other companies (small cheaper versions) they were all basically the same. The best dougies were the larger one's by Gemmy (30 inches or taller) that had an external audio jack or came with a cassette player. With it now being about a decade since the Douglas Fir Talking Christmas Tree was produced, I was just curious if any entrepreneurial company has produced a "bare bones" Dougie for prop builders.
At one time I had about 20 of these, they were dirt cheap on Ebay. Once people figured out how to make skulls out og them, the price jumped quickly.
This is what started the Skulltronix skulls, Mike Fox made a talking skull from a Dougie I believe.
