After reading some of the nostalgic threads on here, I got to thinking, does anyone remember the parafin lips, tongues, witch fingers and small bottles with flavored liquid?
Does anyone remember?

I remember wax lips and Nik-L-Nip. I don't think I ever got Nik-L-Nip for Halloween though.

They still have those.
I saw Nik-L-Nips at Cracker Barrel just a week or so ago, last year a candy store I was at had an entire barrel of wax lips (regular and with vamp fangs) and other sorts of candy.

Oooh, I loved those wax lips when I was a kid. We used to walk or ride our bikes to the penny candy store to get those. The little bottles of liquid were great too. I used to just bite into them and the liquid mixed with the wax and I would chew on the wax until it didn't taste like anything anymore.

Oh man! I remember buying those. I always hated the wax lips, but the liquid-filled wax bottles I enjoyed. I used to buy them in a pack of 4 for a dollar when DollarTree carried it. I wonder if they still do!? Haha, I think I chewed on that wax longer than I chew on my long-lasting sugarfree gum now. Was never a fan of the wax lips though! Although I did buy some vamp teeth one time! Speaking of nostalgia candy...I have 2 questions for ya... Did you ever get Necco waffers as a ToT candy? Did you like it? I hate those things, Yeulck!

No, can't say that I ever did get Necco Waffers when I went trick or treating. Lots of licorish. Hated it too. My dad would cash in on it.

Yes! I used to get those, I loved them all. Although the Nik-L-Nips liquid always made my throat scratchy. Albertson's had wax lips last year. I love to buy the retro candy and treats and sprinkle them around on top of all my buckets and baskets of regular candy.

I still see those around. Never understood what I was supposed to do with those wax lips. Were they meant to be chewed on? And why did they have that weird peppermint smell to them - I don't think they were edible, were they?
I used to buy those wax bottles too with the liquid in them. = )

I absolutely loved all the old wax candies on halloween and got many. My favorite though was the wowee witch whistle, i want one for my collection so bad. I wish i could find someone who would sell me one. For some reason i cant explain that witch whistle and ben cooper costumes remind me so much of the magical halloween nights when i was a little kid.

i love the lips and bottles. we get the bottles at the gas station in town. when my grandson was little, he would always choose that for his treat. necco candy we sell at the station as well. i love those candies as well, all except the licorace ones. the chocolate ones are my favorite.
