Is there anyone using an app for designing their Halloween scenes? I can find floor or home design apps, but I'm insure if they would have the icons I'd need to accurately position things like lights and props. I'd be interested in any suggestions for iOS or a Mac.

Have you tried to use Sketch Up? I know several people use it to plan out there haunts. I have dabbled with mine a bit and once you get the hang of things it's great. They have video's that show how to get started also. It's a free program with pay to use add-ons but I don't see the need for those.

That does look pretty cool. I like learning and playing around with new software, so I'll check it out some more, but the learning curve might be a little more than I have time for this year. I'm not very good at drawing, but I think I'm going to try Penultimate this year. I read someone's post on here how he or she was using it and I didn't realize it could import pictures, which would be helpful for setting the imagery of a scene.

I go to Google and get the satellite view of my yard, then import that into PowerPoint and create boxes of various sizes that I place around the yard to see how everything fits.
