What a cool, unique concept! I love that it just incorporates a small portion of your driveway but gives a maze like feel to the whole thing for a bigger experience. I also like the animation you've brought to it with the moving clock and triggered steam firebox door. My favorite part I think is the steam pipe wall. Very Cool! Where do you hide the fogger and how is it piped into the pipes and triggered?

Lots of nice detail work on the facade and scenery parts. Chloe is quite the babe there! Any nighttime photos and what did the kids like best about it?

Thanks! I'm super happy with how it turned out. Funny you mentioned the maze. The long-term goal is to have an alley feel extending the maze, but primarily being a one man show its kind of hard to think about adding more stuff.

I hide the fog machine in the boiler and trigger it myself to get it right at the best time to create a wall of fog. It looked awesome w/ the lighting at night. The pipe wall had a pipe extend into the boiler and met up with the fogger.

The favorite part seemed to be the detail. Sadly I think I waste time on details. I start to think I should just add more and sacrifice the quality. Funny you mentioned Chloe. She freaked us out so many times in the garage leading up to Halloween that we thought people would be scared, but she looked a little too much like a babe. Haha.

Your the steam punk guy...i remember you. Your display sure has grown since last year. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!
Haha!!! I've been called the Halloween guy, but not the steam punk guy yet. Not sure I fit that bill. Just trying to do something different then the standard Halloween themes. I'm actually struggling to make it steam punk. Plus people haven't been too vocal about the haunt so I'm not either sure they get it or don't like it. I think I'll push onward with the theme though. It's fun for me. Thanks for remembering last year. I hope it grows next year too!

Did any of your props actually blow steam ie fog? Your set-up has certain flair that makes it stand out. I wish more people would post pics of their set-up large or small.
Yeah the pipe wall had holes in it and blew fog. It created a wall of "steam" when the light was positioned in the right way at night. It was an awesome effect as that people could see through it to Chloe when they walked up, but then she and the facades disappeared as the "steam" poured out. The fog machine was in the boiler and there was a pipe extending out into the pipe wall. There is also the option for steam to come out of the grate on the clocktower, but it was hidden this year by the addition of the girders. There's video of the pipe wall in the YouTube video I posted at the top of this thread.

I am starting to get the itch to get started on something for this year's haunt! Any thoughts or ideas? I'm looking to extend the walkthrough portion, add another scare and possible add some additional facades.
