Daenerys Blue Dress

So I've decided to try and make my wife a Daenerys costume for Halloween. our baby (who will be 3 months by Halloween) will be her dragon. Has anyone seen a pattern for this dress. I found this site which looks pretty comprehensive http://jfsoup.blogspot.com/2013/07/daenerys-cosplay-pattern-and-makeup.html. I just touched a sewing machine for the first time a few weeks ago so I'm looking for all the info I can get going into this. Hopefully I'll be able to make this, finish the decorations I'm building and put together my costume.

You should check out the Pattern books at your local craft/ fabric store. I believe it's Simplicity that has some GOT costumes. Both Hobby Lobby and JoAnns will run these patterns on sale for $1 or 2 every couple weeks. This is a huge savings as most of the costumes run about $20. The tutorial was great, however as a novice you will find having the pattern will make this task so much easier. Also mentioned in the tutorial was the suggestion to make the pieces using a cheap muslin to try out size. I always do this when working with expensive materials or making a garment that needs to be fitted.

Thanks Spooky. I did end up going to Joann's and finding a pattern. I didn't find anything when I searched Joann's online but it took about two seconds in the store. Luckily I'm going to be getting some help from a relative on the sewing. I'm hoping I don't screw it up because I spent way to much on fabric.
