1. a person or thing that crops.
2. a person who raises a crop.
3. a person who cultivates land for its owner in return for part of the crop; sharecropper.
4. a plant that furnishes a crop.
5. a cloth-shearing machine.
6. come a cropper, Informal.
a.to fail; be struck by some misfortune:
b.to fall headlong, especially from a horse.

To start with, the origin of the concept started here back in November: http://www.halloweenforum.com/general-halloween/145949-bone-mother-unorthodox-2016-open-discussion.html

We wanted a whole yard theme changeover to the Bone Mother.

However, we got side-railed. http://www.halloweenforum.com/off-topic-stuff/146531-unorthodox-2016-project.html

So, I had to put the Bone Mother away.

BUT, I still wanted to do SOMETHING new, and something to enter the town's scarecrow contest.

And while the Bone Mother is still in our plans, it was too big of a project to be tackling with the house going on. I needed something smaller....something SHE would make.

Meanwhile I had a sweet potato that had been mummified and happened to look like a heart, and wanted to make something of it.

Thus Mr Potato Heart was born. Though, I can't call him that publicly. Cropper fits the down year, the fact he's built from a crop vegetable, and the overall harvest themed builds we do all at once.

I've got to get a light in the chest, and am nowhere near done painting.
