This would be cool with the printer reversed & printing on the back of the EL paper. It would look like a ghoul or some otherworldly critter is writing. Might look cool on the back side of a window, too.

I have no idea what that is. What is it's actual purpose? Why was it invented? I've never seen something like that before.

It looks almost like one of the crayola boards that my kids "draw" on with uv light pens....

It's a printer that's been modified to use UV LED's to "draw" on electroluminescent paper. The image glows, then fades away. As for why it was invented, the creator's website said it was designed to display messages from a twitter account.
