Very nice video. I like your suggestion for the large radius elbow conduit. Gives a nice look.

A few years ago, I made several of the small LED spotlights (same as Ned’s pin spot lights and those in the video), but was rather disappointed by the anemic light they put out.

They could light up the base of a tombstone, but not much more. Since then I’ve really grown attached to the “eagle eye” LED spotlights. Much brighter and still able to fit in a PVC housing.

It’s also worth checking out trhooper123’s display he 3D printed a housing for the eagle eye lights, and then casts them.

The turorial is very nicely done, and even gives good info on how to solder. But, given that you can buy complete 12v Blue Landscape spotlights for around $8, I wonder if it is worth the effort. These will likely be MUCH brighter as well, at 7 watt. (though they are Chinese manufacturer, they likely exaggerated the wattage 2x. So figure 3.5watt actual)

It may also be viable to use the tutorial's approach, but omit the PVC. Rather, use heavy gauge solid copper. Trim the wire lead from the LED as short as is practical. Then after soldering, apply some shrink-wrap over the LED itself, and the wires. The assembly should be stiff enough for you to be able to bend it and it will stay in place. The assembly will be nearly invisible. Note that it is probably best to use a plastic stake to avoid making an inductor that may harm your power supply as it turns on or off.
