I can jockey them around by myself if that makes any sense. Each one is 4' high and 12' long so they are a little on the large side. If I place a handtruck in the center of the panel, I can move it. It's really easier w/ 2 people.

Here is a picture of the final fence panel. Well, pretty much final, I am going to add some moss green highlights when it is all set up.

I decorate my front and back yard. Right now (subject to change) I plan on placing these around the front of my house with my new Horse/Funeral Coach behind them along with a handful of tombstones,4-5 mourners, and an opened grave which I will show pictures of later when I start that build. In the back yard I will have a muchlarger cemetery with a caretakers shed and will use some other fence I have for that.

As far as keeping them upright, I plan on using those green garden stakes with the blade at the bottom. I am going to attach one on each end with screws and drive them in the ground a foot or so. I will paint them a black or gray color to blend. And yes, I am ready to set my stuff up right now!

I'm blown away HH. What a great look. I loved the acetone etching too and the fact that it didn't leave the kind of mess drilling would have. This is just soooo cool. Can't wait to see it set up with moss, etc. and lit at night. I may just use your ideas to do my own fence if I can get my butt in gear in another month or two. Thanks for sharing and inspiring a lot of us. Outstanding job!

WOW great idea about the Acetone for the grout lines. I never would have thought of that. I actually thought, when I 1st saw them, that you might have used a propane torch to make those. Your idea is even better/easier.

if your doing a lot of them you might want to invest in a small router like the ryobi ones they sell at home depot. i did 5 full sized wall sections 4 feet wide by 7 feet high and it took just a minute or 2 to route out the grout lines per panel. you can also use one of those 2 dollar spraybottles they sell to spray acetone randomly across the entire thing for an aged effect.

I ended up building 9 of these panels. I have a full sized router, a dremel tool and a rot zip but I still found using acetone for make the grout lines much esier. Now, it you are doing something where you are all about the detais, acetone is not the right choice.

Cost.....difficult to say because I didnt really keep track and some of the materials I already had here and bought at a realy cheap price to begin with. The original fence pieces were made from 1/2" PVC and 1x2x8s and were topped with finials from Kings Metals. I added the 12' long block look wall around them using 2x4s to frame it. I covered the back side of the panels with some 1x12s that I got for 0.50ea. Inside the panels I inserted 2" foam with was a full piece for each panel. The foam is about $25 a sheet. Guessing here, I'd say each panel cost between $35-$40 to redo with the majority of that being the foam.
