The short answer is yes it could probably be done. How ?If you were to use the scissor conventionally , you would have to have a very large cylinder along with a lot of bracing. Once the prop is extended the weight will increase as it gets further from the mounting point . There are probably many ways to do this depending size ,shape and bulk of the prop. Off the top of my head I would built a vertical support for the prop and mount to some sort of a track with rollers so the scissor mechanism is actually pushing the prop rather than trying to support it. Just my thoughts...............
