I just became a reseller for Bucky's Boneyard, I am going to finalize a few things, when I get a final cost, I'll be offering the 5' 6" tall Skeletons, the Skull skins and the eye balls among other items.
How many people would be interested in a bucky or two?

Budget Bucky Skeleton" (4th quality) 5'6" tall
Toetag, not to be rude, I have seen the same Skeletons listed from as much as $239.00 to as low as 138.00, these are not the cheap blown plastic skeletons that you buy for $10.00 in a dollar store.
I respect your statement and the freedom you have to buy them from anyone.
Thanks for the interest,
Bohica

Bohica,
I sell them for $100 plus shipping, to members, everyone else is $125. That still includes a small profit for me. Many people here are Bucky retailers, and have been for years. The wholesale prices are fairly common knowledge here on the forum. The wholesale prices have gone up over the last few years, and the quality is getting even worse, by the way.
You may have seen 4th class Buckys listed for those prices, but no member who does any research will pay that much.
As a new retailer, you might not know it yet, but you can get even lower wholesale prices if you buy bulk.

I'm not trying to undercut you, just letting you know that your best chance to turn a profit isn't here. eBay and the like are your best bet.

Barbarella, Mistress of the Abyss,
Before you order any 25lb Bucky from the states, look into the total shipping cost. The last one I sent to Canada cost over $100 in import fees and shipping.

Lurks in the shadows,
I feel that a private message would have been more appropriate then an "attack" in public, "chance to turn a profit"?? If you know the prices, then you know that after I pay to get a skeleton plus shipping, then send a skelton out, I am not making more then a dollar or two, is this turning a major profit? You say "I'm not trying to undercut you" Obviously if you can sell them for less, then you will ultimately make the sales, there is no reason to post this in anything but a private message unless you were trying to undercut and bring attention to your product.
I cannot afford to buy bulk, nor can I store them, trust me when I tell you that I don't need to sell Skeletons to make a buck, I thought I was actually helping a few people, this is a hobby for me, not a business. No need to put my character at question in public.
I may be new to the Halloween forums, but I am in no way new to the web, chat communities or the ethicate of posting.
Is it common to Hijack posts? If your prices are better why not just make your own post with your prices instead of jumping in and making it look like I am trying to rip people off and scolding me like I am a child? People would have obviously bought from you. I can't really see any other reason for your post.
I am trying to understand the purpose of your post when you say "I'm not trying to undercut you, just letting you know that your best chance to turn a profit isn't here. eBay and the like are your best bet." Were you trying to educate me, protect everyone else or show that you too sell skeletons at a better price?
"I fully understand that people will research prices, but the beauty of this is that people have the right to choose where and when they make a purchase.
So to sum it up, you have been very sucessful in letting people know what your prices are.

I'm sorry you saw my post as an attack. I really feel you are freaking out a bit.
Frankly, I don't sell very many Buckys here, or anywhere.
I stated my price simply to give an example of the common list price around here, you say these go for $239 to $138, not here they don't. The retailers here understand that anyone can become a reseller in about five minutes and therefore keep their prices low.

As it appears you are now including shipping costs, your price is actually going to be lower than mine.

I never said that you were ripping people off and I don't see where I "scolded you like a child". I never said you were even making "major profit". $115 is a very reasonable price. Just where did I question your character?
I was trying to get the point across, that you can charge more elsewhere, like on eBay. I also told you about the bulk purchase deal to try to help you. Sorry you can't take advantage of it, but it's hardly my fault.

Since I never meant to bunch up your panties, how's this?
Bohica's Buckys are cheaper than mine!
I won't sell at member discount prices anymore. Unless you are a personal friend of mine I'll charge $125. There, feel better now?

Lurks, thanks for the info on the shipping prices, that does make one reconsider. I bought my first Bucky at a store here in town for almost $300 CAN, but at the time that actually was a good price for the convenience of being able to get it the same day (plus I loved driving home with Bucky sitting shotgun!). Shipping international makes a big difference.

Lurks,
I sent you a private message out of respect for the community, I hope that you do the same.

My hat goes out to the gentleman who emailed me and gave me his source and how he gets them for less....he didnt feel the need to showboat his prices nor tell me where to sell them to make a "profit".
Do I feel better now? Lurks, You only have one chance to make a first impression, using words like "profit" and pointing out that you can sell them for less casts a doubt about a person and their character.
Posting that "Bohica's Buckys are cheaper than mine!" is cute , but kind of like being in line for lunch at the school cafeteria and hearing someone yelling "there's a cockeroach in my food!" even after they say "Oh wait, I think it's a raisin" you still wont eat there unless you are brave or really hungry....lol The doubt and image has been cast in your brain, as home haunters that is what we do best, right? make people believe what isnt there really is?....lol
Ok, ok, I'm done, and I appologize to eveyone, I am officially out of the skeleton selling business here on the halloween forum....lol

In all honesty. The only real problem that i have had has been missing screws that aren't all that important. If anything i think 4th quality buckies have a more realistic "i've been sitting in the ground for years" look to them.

Well first I would like to say this is sad. I for one have found that to many people have thin skin and read to much what was typed.
I wish you luck on your bucky sales. But last I heard from Marilyn there was someone (not naming names) that made a deal to be the sole distributor for our 4th quality product for Bucky bone yard(aka acc) since the orders were getting a little to much for them.
Now are you selling 4th quality skeletons or 1st? Let me know I am always looking for a good price since my rates shot up like fireworks on the 4th of July.
