My 2014 Halloween Haunt was a huge success (except for the rain that started around 8:45pm... but, can't control the weather...)!

The members of Halloweenforum.com are a huge inspiration to me. The ideas and feedback that I get on this forum is incredibly helpful.

I have a detailed walk-through of the haunt on youtube (there are a lot of other videos as well...)

I only have a couple of videos from Halloween night... the rain storm shut us down suddenly.

http://youtu.be/up6dg2TFsLQ (halloween night walkthrough. Some of the actors were not aware we were videoing and were waiting for the next group to come through).

I added quite a bit of DMX lighting to the haunt this year (splash cans and smart pixels). All controlled using VSA and DMXorcist. I also split sound files to send sound to individual speakers in a 7.1 surround sound system.

Don't hesitate to ask questions! I am happy to help. Lots of people help me!!! Oh, my website is here: www.macehaunt.com

Already thinking about what to do for 2015!

Happy Haunting!

Wow that was IMPRESSIVE!!! First in full discloser, anyone here who knows me know how much I hate you dang electronic people!!!! (Ok I'm jealous, I just can't wrap my head around that stuff!) Everything else looked wonderful too. I particularly loved the stretchy clown face and mattress door. Very creative! I also liked the breaking pipe. I'm glad it showed better in the second video.
I have to know if your little grunge gal screamer lost her voice? That was crazy!
Your layout made your garage seem massive. Great work!!!! :D

Oh, she lost her voice! And we had two rotations of actors for each room! She has been in my haunt for a couple of years now and is really into it!

Glad you liked the clown face on latex. I painted that myself :)

The DMX stuff isn't too hard. If you ever want to go down that path, just give me a holler!

Thanks! Hope I didn't multipost... I know I was really pumped-up after the haunt was cut short by a rainstorm so I might have posted something then. We had planned to take some better quality video of props/actors at the end of the night but mother nature had different plans :)

Excellent job on the haunt. Thanks for the "behind the scenes tour" - love picking up tips and ideas from fellow haunters. Love the way you covered the fridge ( I have that challenge myself) and the final scare was great. I didn't expect it - thought it would just be the shaking/smoking electrified fellow - nice touch!
