Just a simple prop that will peek out of a narrow space right where the passageway does a 180. Will trigger it and a light with a hacked motion activated light fixture. Just thought I would show how simple a setup can be done with a cheapo deer motor.

A piece of black fabric will hide the rest of it.
I counter weighted the bottom tube a little by pouring shotgun shot into it. Worked pretty well. Used a Forstner bit to drill out the pivot T for a slip fit.
Can't see it but motor is mounted with an L bracket that is hot glued and tie wrapped in place.
Sorry about the cluttered background. My shop is always a disaster.
It was inspired by those little birds that bobbed into a cup of water and kept going almost like perpetual motion. Probably have to be a certain age to remember them.

I would love to make something like this. Simple you say? For the absolute novice, who has never worked with motors or made anything with pvc pipe, is there perhaps a simple step-by-step anywhere for this kind of thing, just to get me started? Thanks for any advice!

Very cool! Like the concept. Would love to see a video of it in action.

Have to do some non Halloween chainsawing right now. If it's not raining it's windy around here lately.
