I'm new to this forum, and there's a few points I'd like to make (so listen up y'all!)

1) A big thank you to all of you who have put so much time and effort into this site. The pure quality of your time and effort, not just into enjoying halloween but also spending time explaining, sharing, encouraging and supporting other members is great. Special thanks to all of you members who have been doing this for a while, it is much appreciated.

2) I'm new! So I read through many posts and ideas, they're brilliant. I've been into HWN for a while, but never found this site.

3) I want a site like this for the UK. You are lucky in the US, there seems to be so much you can get.

4) Any advice on planning? last year I seriously ran out of time. I've actually started to make wooden stake invites already..... too soon?

5) Photos are brilliant, I want to take some this year to upload.

Big thanks again from the Wales, UK. There are castles everywhere over here, I should go visit them more to get spooky ideas.

Never to early to get ready for the best holiday of the year. It is a 365 days a year for our studio. So enjoy and have fun with it nothing better than a good scare.

Thanks and welcome to the site.
Like the others said, its never too early and you'll be glad you did because the month of october FLIES and it seems like you'll never get anything done in time!

greetings memamu, and thankyou for your kind comments.
It's always good to welcome another UK member to the site. we seem to have had quite a few new members from this side of the pond lately, which is great! There are a few of us around, as well as some members from France, Holland and Germany.
There are UK based Halloween/Haunt sites, but they're not nearly as active or as much fun as this one, IMHO.
As previous posters have said, it's never too early to start planning for halloween..In fact for many of us it's a 365 days a year obsession..
There's always a few of us haunting these corridors day or night..so feel free to drop in anytime to get your fright-fix!

Welcome to the Forum.

Castles.... they are everywhere....

Hi,

Thanks for the big welcome, I've taken your advice and started already, not just planning.... but actually started.... I'd ordered things... made a floor plan... but I've gone the extra step..... I think I'll probably start 100 things and only finish 50.

I was asked to post some pics of castles... here are few.... there are more than these around.... so here is a taste.... the last 2 are of 'Eliseg's Pillar' which is in the old decrepit decayed Abbey which is a ruin about 25 minutes drive away....last pic.

Welcome! There may not be a lot of Halloween props and such available in the UK, but it just gives you the opportunity to be more creative and create your own, if that's your thing! :)

It's never too soon to make things for Halloween!

Here's a website with some pretty decent sized pictures---

North wales is probably the one part of the UK that I am not familiar with.
I never realised there were so many great castles up in that neck of the woods!
Thanks for posting those pics, Memamu & Junit.

I have an album on my profile page with some English castles in it, if anyone is interested.
I have been slacking on it recently, but will be adding more soon.
