In the past I've used the stretchy spiderweb stuff from various Halloween stores. Some are great and stretchy and some are like large cotton balls that pull apart within 2 feet of stretching.

Who's brand is best, and most consistent, for the long stretchy web stuff?

Should I consider the spiderweb gun and is it worth the cost?

Thanks.

Not sure about "brands" per say, as I never really pay attention to what it says on the package, but I've always had good luck with the stuff they sell at walmart. As long as you give it a really good lengthwise stretch before attaching it to anything, you should get good results. The secret to really good looking webs is patience; take your time and pull really really small strands and they look much more realistic
I've never considered a web shooter since it requires the use of an air compressor, which I don't own..

No brands, it's a "feel test" type of thing. The best kind is the stuff that feels sort of rough; that's the good acrylic webbing that will stretch out and hold the web shapes. If it feels silky, don't buy it. That stuff breaks easily and is too slick to really work.
