I saw someone's post on a backward clock issue and it made me think that there are people here who would probably like a simple backward clock mechanism to convert an old clock which they could simply install and use like a regular clock. There are battery clock movements that go backwards available out there. You don't have to buy the whole clock, just the mechanism, and some are sold with the hands as well. Go to ebay and search for backward clock in your search field. Saw a few choices there now. They also have listed those kind of school-looking wall clocks sold as a complete package. Read descriptions carefully so you get a mechanism that runs counterclockwise as some clocks just have the numbers in the reverse position.

Here's the buyer I used for some smaller haunted clocks I have planned. I wanted the mechanism and hands and he offered a choice of style, minute hand color, second hand, and even lengths (from 3 inches to 5 inches). It's still a project-to-do so can't give too much more feedback than provided.

And here's another seller that offers a wider range of hands designs and sizes (no second hands that I saw):

Good prices on them and still a good selection of hands. Didn't look at their shipping charges yet but would have been nice to have checked them out before I had ordered by mechanism a while back. Thanks for the heads up. I bought mine for mantel piece clocks that I wanted to go backwards with a second hand so kids might notice. Thinking about a grandfather pendulum clock with sound and will check them out before ordering parts :D
