I know I've seen a few mentions of people who have pre-ordered the WindowFX digital decorating kit. According to AtmosFX it is now sold out for the season but they give a list of retailers who carry it. I just ordered mine from Hammacher Schlemmer yesterday and wanted to let everyone know that not only do they have it in stock to ship immediately, but they are selling it for $99. It seems like these other retailers are not advertising it as an AtmosFX product but just a generic holiday projector. I stopped in the Manhattan Hammacher Schlemmer store yesterday hoping they would have it in store. They did not but they ordered it and are having it shipped directly to me with no shipping charge so I saved roughly $50 compared to AmostFX's $129 price plus shipping. Their customer service is awesome! They said I should have it by Monday so I'll definitely report back on what I think of it.

Exactly what does this kit do and does it have all that I would need for a window display. I have seen it and noticed it was sold out so didn't look too much into it.

I just took a look on the website that you mentioned and ordered it with free shipping code so $99. I think this will be a lot easier for me now with everything built in. Thanks for the information.

I just ordered it too, I have been really looking at projectors and everything else, but this just made it easy, at least as an entry point! Thank you so much for the tip!

I already have mine. It works well. Small, has 8 scenes, and is bright enough. They even sent the scrim with it. Recommend.

I know I have been so overwhelmed with looking at projectors this week, this is so perfect! It also has the Santa loop which I would have had to buy seperately along with the others so a great deal. I can't wait

Thanks for the heads-up Jezebel! I had seen that they were now being listed as sold out on the AtmosfearFX site and was bummed that they had sold out so quickly. I just placed my order on the Hammacher Schlemmer site.

Can you elaborate a bit please? What does "bright enough" mean? Can you compare it to say a 2000+ lumens projector?

Any chance you could post a video?

150 Lux is roughly equivalent to 70 Lumens. Essentially, Lumens is used to measure total light output, and Lux is used to measure how intense the light is. What it boils down to is that the smaller projectors will often use Lux instead of Lumens to display a bigger number to potential buyers.

From the research I've been doing, the smaller projectors are decent in a very dark environment, but the more ambient light you have in your area, the more washed out the projected image becomes.

I wish we had some sort of stickied thread for people to post their reviews of these mini projectors. I know some are total garbage, and it would be nice if people could know, since you can't really find reviews of these things out there too easily.

I don't see why they would make a product like this garbage it has to work properly in the right light. I bought it with free shipping, if it doesn't work out for me I will easily send it back and go another route.
