I sure do. I cannot get even halfway through a project without getting sidetracked and starting something else! I'm surrounded by unfinished projects!

I started my cemetery fence, then remembered the two bluckies I bought after Halloween last year so I got them out to fit them with pvc and got as far as putting them together and leaning them against the wall, worked some more on my haunted dollhouse, got sidetracked by all the new spooky town stuff coming out so I started planning the new display platforms I'm going to make, bought two new spooky town pieces, realized I'd outgrown my storage closet so I cleaned out another closet and moved it all there, and I still have nothing completed! :p

Actually, Mme. L., that's a good way to approach prop building. Do a little on a variety of props at various times depending on whatever strikes your fancy. A few years back when we were still accumulating props, my daughter and I had two Gargoyles, an Egyptian Sarcophogus, a pair on entry Columns and a Bottomless Pit all on the go at the same time. I'd ask her, "What should we work on today?" And she'd say, "How about the skulls for the Columns?" or whatever. And that would be what we would focus on that particular afternoon. We always get stuff completed well before the big day, that's the main thing.

I did that last year, but I was on track to get none of them done. I think at one point I had 7 or 8 things going. My sister suggested working on one until it was complete before starting another. I tried it and I knocked out the props way faster. I got all but one of them done. Had I not done it that way I am guessing I wouldn't have finished any of them.

I'm kind of like you but now I've learned to somewhat use that to my advantage. If one prop is drying or glue is curing, I work on the other prop. But, it does bug me at times walking into the workshop and there are unfinished projects just staring at me. UGH!

Yea, I've had H.A.D.D. for quite a while now. (Haunter's Attention Deficit Disorder)
I've always got 2 or 3 projects going on at once.
I guess I'm into delayed gratification!! :)

You said it , thats me as well.
I find that there is just too many exciting things to create and when I get to the point where I can visualize the finished product and know there is really no more challenge I loose interest and move on. The way I tend to expand My haunt is to buy ready made props, alter and hack store bought props, and make from scratch props. With this combination I find that store bought props that I alter are usually straight forward and always get completed, ready made props add to the scene, and the odd home made props that finally get finished are worth the wait, as well as unfinished props that carry from previous years give almost immetiate satisfaction in the subsequent years as it takes nothing to finish them.

My problems start as I take off with an idea and then realize I don't have something I need to complete it. Next, I'm waiting for the mail to come for the part(s) I need. :(
That moves me on to the next prop, etc, etc, etc. See where I'm going with this? Anyway, it's no fun, if I can't procrastinate a little, especially when it's 98 degrees outside! :)

Yeah, I'm kinda the same way. I'll realize I need one more thing and I just do not want to go out and get it. I'm what you'd call an extreme homebody and it takes a lot to get me out of the house when I don't have to be.
I'll start thinking something like, "Damn, I hate that old guy down at the hardware store! I do not want to deal with him right now. Maybe hubby will go for me this weekend..." and sometimes it works. Hubby actually loves the local hardware store so he's pretty easy to talk into going. I just end up putting my project on hold till the weekend. But of course, by that time I'm completely distracted by something else! ;)

I'm a huge homebody too and years ago there was a woman who ran the local hardware store who was a real *itch and made you feel unwelcome when you tried to shop there. A few years later I began talking to a friends mother on the phone and we became fast friends. When I finally met my new friend it turned out she was the witch of the hardware store. We had a big laugh over it and she was nothing like she appeared at work...lol!
