I was wondering if anyone had any tips for a beginning SFX artist? I've been doing it for a week, and after my last attempt, I realized I need more tips when it comes to creating full looks (ex zombies, demons, etc). I understand how to do basic wounds and burns.
I tried to create a zombie and after applying green to attempt a rotting skin look, it ended up looking like camo.
Does anyone have any tips?

Those look pretty good to me.

I'm not a SFX artist, but I would think the key would be to keep trying different things.

It's all about practice I think. Also keep pics of stuff that you see elsewhere that you like and want to reproduce. Everyone has to start somewhere.
