For years I've only dealt with static props and really haven't had the time to dedicate to figuring out how to make things move. Now that I have the time, I'd really like to look into animatronics to see how they work. That said, I was wondering if anyone knew of a resource online (or books) that explains things in simple terms. I don't know anything about electronics but want to start somewhere. I'm sure there are tons of things to read online but wanted to ask here first since some of you might have sites that helped you out.

Thanks!

Pneumatics are definitely over my head so it will take me a while to get to that daring and adventures stage! lol! I agree TNF, small fan motors is probably the place to start. I'm the type of person that likes to know how things work so that I can no only understand it but also manipulate it.

Thanks for the link, Abunai. I actually visit that site now and then.
