We built a robotic wrist and gripper to move a commercial hand puppet. The components mainly came from Lynxmotion and VSA was used to encode the motion. The audio is from a rehearsal session for the Thriller video. It can be purchased from Amazon.

Here is a video of the puppet in action:

We looked at Blue Point but they seemed a little pricey. The key components in our dragon are the Lynx B - Pan and Tilt Kit (Black Anodized) and the SSC-32 Servo Controller. VSA drives the latter and made overall integration fairly easy and cheap.

Our next project is a GraveYardSkulls talking skull with moving eyes. The basic integration is done. Our next steps are to build a body and to create a VSA script.

We are planning to post a How-To for the dragon at www.homehauntersassociation.com.

asterix0, welcome to the Club!

The puppet is not something that I would use, but it is a work of sheer genius. Nice Work!
