Animated LED Bat WIP

I thought I'd share this project. I started with a 1 inch piece of rigid foam 48"x48". Bat measures 32"x48"

I spaced the holes apx 1 1/4" apart. I then used my soldering gun to burn the holes into the foam being careful not to let the iron get too hot.

Any thoughts on the LEDs and how you plan to control them?

Thank you. The body will stay lit and a 2 channel controller will switch the upper and lower wings, simulating flying / flapping. I'm using either green or purple LEDs (5x50 count) and adding 2 red bulbs for the eyes. I was almost able to get 50 holes in per section. I will either black out the unused lights with electrical tape or shorten the strand.
