I like it. The 2009 resembles looking over a hill with something unknown beyond. Another small twist might be to add the top of a steeple peeking into view, indicating buildings or mausoleums beyond, out of view.

What program did you use?

Great job, Empty.
I actually like the first one a little more...It kinda reminds me of the advertisements for the old Hammer horror movies of the sixties and seventies..Some of them used a similar sort of background.

GREAT WORK! I wouldn't change a thing. Out of curiosity how are these flyers distributed and why? They must create quite a buzz.
Good luck

Well, last yrs flier was just web-based, I used it on sites like Myspace and Facebook. But this yr we are going to try to post them around town. We have a nice size town with some great trick or treating, but the location of my haunt is on a dead end street with no street lights, so no one comes down here.

We had like 40 tots last year, which is up from 2 tots the yr before. So we want to see if putting up posters helps.

I currently use my parents yard, if putting up posters doesn't draw tots then I may have to rethink location.

I think I will be changing the "30th-31st" Thanks for the input guys!

Your approach sounds interesting and your location sounds ideal being a dead end street and dark, as long as neighboring streets are hopping you should be alright. There's nothing quite like the enjoyment of sharing your passion and hobby with others, the more that get to enjoy it the better.

If you could shed some light on how to create a haunt web site and approach to creating artwork I would appreciate it. I comsider myself artistic but am a bit computer illiterate.

Well my web site is not what I want some day, but it works for now. I know what I'd like to do, and in some ways how to, but a web site cost money, so it will wait.

What I did was go to wordpress and create a blog, they give you all the information to set it up and how to use it. They also give free templates, plus other people on the web have created template you can use. So I just picked one and then created my own header for it, and simple as that.

I create most my artwork in illustrator cause it is scalable and never pixelated unlike photoshop, but some stuff like what I did for Ruggerz, needs to be done in photoshop.

Really any design program is just diving into it. I did go to school for it and its what I do professionally, but I have so much more to learn.

I use tutorials, there are so many out there and you can learn some cool stuff, if you have something specific you need help with, I am more then glad to be of assistance.

It's my halloween mob theory, i scratch your back and you take out the guy whose decorations are better then mine!
