Okay you twisted my arm and I just got extra money from working some overtime. Woof, mine is in the process!! When it is not doing Halloween, it may be my new big screen for playing World of Warcraft...................

How does this compare to the Wonderwall projector?

Think I'll grab one for my Sybil the Clairvoyant projection that I picked up from Mr Chicken this year. It only has to throw a short distance...and that way it'll loosen up my 2000 lumen projector for larger tasks. Thanks very much for the heads up!

Short answer, about 4 times the resolution and 1/4 the brightness of the wonderwall.
Not true- the wonderwall specs are closer to 480x240- the 960 claim takes into account all 3 pixels (red, green, blue- all necessary to create an image) and adds them up to reach 960. The Optoma is a true 854x480 resolution projector. As to brightness, i have no doubt the wonderwall is bright, but I'm pretty sure the Optoma is brighter.

Okay lets try this way.
Imagine an image, say it's 480 by 240 pixels.
Place two of them side by side, then place two more right below the first two.
Now add up the pixels 480 + 480 across = 960
Now add up the pixels vertically 240 + 240 = 480
So 4 times the original image adds up to 960 by 480
Which is pretty close to 854 by 480, close enough to summarize that 854 x 480 is about 4 times the resolution of 480 x 240 ?

Just wooted one. Thanks for the leg up Hallow. I've been looking at them for years and $85 sounds very reasonable for an led light source that doesn't need replacing for big bucks. I'm sure this will work fine for 3 singing punkens in a semi-dark environment. We'll see I guess. Thanks again for the heads up Hallowtheme.

You are welcome. I saw a post recently somewhere about a small projector that was on clearance from Target, so I have been considering one.
