Just got home from Walmart they had black twin sheet sets on clearance for $4 bucks!! The set came with a fitted sheet, flat sheet , and a pillowcase.

They were in the back to school section at my store.

They were out of larger sizes in black but they were on sale too.

2 years ago I found black sheets on sale at Walmart for $1 (just the flat sheet). I bought 10 of them and I should have gotten more... they're really helpful to hide small sections of my haunt that don't need to be visible. Plus good for 'walls' inside the haunt (separate sections).

Nice find.
in the past our walmart had flat sheets( blue, white and black) for $1. since then the price has jumped too almost $6 ( only $1 less then a sheet of osb) So it's hard to buy the sheets to use for walls. THanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to take a look.
Omg I NEED them! I have been trying some way to cheaply enclose my garage. I wan't to paint a glow in the dark scrim I can use year after year. I know where I'm going tomorrow.
I bought 8 twin flat sheets at walmart last week for 2.00 a piece. That's all they had. The other sizes were on sale too but yard for yard the twins are the best deal. Though I use a couple of full as tablecloths.
I wasn't looking for black sheets but instead a nice quality drape in black that I could use to change over a room during a Halloween party. Ended up finding a Walmart brand "Canopy" velvet drapery panel in Rich Black (54 inches wide x 84 inches long), rod or back tabbed style, at my local ROSS DRESS FOR LESS store. So far found 3 panels for my living room and am hoping to pick up another one to go in a doorway to my dining area (will use a spring tension rod with rings and clips to temporarily suspend it). Not sure what Walmart's original price was but ROSS had it for $9.99 a panel. I'm thinking they were probably $20 or more per panel at one time. Very nice quality.

I looked on Walmart's site to see if they were still carrying it but it doesn't seem so. Interesting to note where Walmart "dumps" some of it's overstock and clearance items.

Hubby found two more panels for our living room at another Ross near where he works so now I'm set inside. The room should look really good. I've had good luck finding "extras" of things when looking, but then we are fortunate to live in an area where so many store have multiple locations within a 50 mile radius of us, Ross being one of them. Same goes for TJMaxx, Dollar Tree, Big Lots, Walmart, Target, Spirit.

Hey mem, I've done the black lights in the garage thing twice now. I use black plastic drop cloths for simply covering the walls and "blacking out" the room. I do a fluorescent dot room using the Walmart sheets. I was surprised when the fluorescent paint soaked in and was barely visible - under regular light. It was fabulous under blacklight! So don't worry if it seems you can't see your painting very well. Also, if you need to wash the sheets, don't use detergent. It will ruin the effect - detergent glows under blacklight.
cool, thanks for letting me know, i got 4 i really should have got more.
