I just saw that the Midwest Haunters Convention is going to be in Chicago this year, this should be an interesting change? The Pre-convention bus tours will be different! I just wonder how people are going to react, I have a feeling some are going to like the move while others are going to hate it? I have been to Columbus and liked it but I have only been to MWHC once.

What does everyone else think at this point regarding moving to Chicago?

We’ve done MHC for the last 4 years and are planning on going to Chicago as well. It looks like many of the larger vendors that regularly attend will be there. I am hoping it gives the show some new life. I understand that it is centrally located to a lot more attractions now so I am hoping that means that the attendance will go up. Hopefully a lot of the regular people that have attended MHC will make the trip too. I really enjoy seeing everyone at the show. Always a great crowd! :)

Chicago has a HUGE home haunt crew! I'm sure they will be very excited for this. I will definitely be going since its in my home state, and better yet, my buddy lives up there, so ill have a free place to crash! I've always wanted to go to the convention in Columbus but was always pretty expensive to go. Been going to TW for a few years now, and its such a large scale convention its pretty intimidating for a home haunt guy like myself. This should ease the nerves quite a bit.

My understanding is that it had to do with them not being able to retain the dates and location within the convention center that they wanted. I hope that many are still able to make the trip to IL. :)
My guess is that the turn out will be better. Quite a few years ago the Transworld show used to be in Chicago, there hasn't been a decent Halloween convention here since it moved to St. Louis. This will be close for me so I'm looking forward to it and I'm sure many others in the area are as well.

Am very excited to be going to Midwest Haunters Convention this year! Will be our first time! We did TW in St. Louis also this year and it was incredible! Had never been to a Haunters convention before TW. And I agree with you Theric85, TW is overwhelming but amazing! Looking forward to Hell's Gate also! I will stop by your booth Diabolik and say Hi!

I won't have a booth but I'm planning on being there Saturday June 8th.
If you ever decide to try the show scene, MHC is a great place to start. I think you could do well there.

Some of my group would really enjoy some cool cars! Where did you see the info about the Hearse club?
It is on the floorplan map. There is a large section in the rear of the show marked Hardcore Hearse Club. They have a booth too so I am assuming the larger area will be to display some cars, at least that is my hope. :D

I have an extra room booked at the Schaumberg convention center that I am unable to cancel. I missed the clearly marked April 15 deadline so my mistake. If anyone is looking for a room, I would be looking to sell it for what I paid for it. The rooms are currently sold out. I can either get rid of one of the rooms with a king size bed or one of the rooms with 2 double beds. If interested send me a message and I can let you know what I paid for them.
