Here is my 2012 Halloween light show preview video!

Unfortunately that is something I cannot fix. Youtube wont let it play on mobile devices because they cant show an add on the video on mobile devices. Kinda sucks. But it is worth finding a computer to watch. :p You WONT be disappointed. ;)

Couldn't see it either. Too bad. Quite honestly, I'm sick of all these companies wanting to force advertising on us. Plus who wants to pay for phone plans and spend your time watching junk ads. Would have loved to have seen your video though. What system did you create the show using?

Okay, don't get it. Something here doesn't make sense. I have the YouTube app on my iPad and iPhone and can watch videos on them, both being mobile devices I guess regardless of whether I use Wifi connection like my laptop or use a phone connection. Don't get why I can't watch your video if I can see others on them. Just watched a few videos to make sure.

Is it that you are chosing to put ads as part of your video? I've made YouTube videos of some props for members here who have asked to see them in action and never had a problem seeing any of them on the forum or on any of my devices. Are you choosing to make money off your video every time someone watches it? And maybe why you want to get tons of hits? Like rake in the cash from our clicks. If so, well now I get it I guess. As a HF member not loving that, especially from a member who hasn't posted much and wants to show off his "video" once a year. Sorry not looking to make you money.... If you are here for halloween why not post your video without ads?


BTW I just clicked on a YouTube video link that Terra just posted under the Prop thread and no problem seeing her video.

i got it!!!! awesome sjohnson....i'm a light freak...ok i have a question...when you are setting up your light runs for light o rama?, do you have to run an extension cord for every run or circuit for that particular "beat".......i do our porch and some front lights but only have 6 beats and i go through a tub full of cords just to synch what i want to for that.....
we do a huge xmas set up and i already have so many cords to deal with, 1/2 acre...i dont know if i could deal with doing a light o rama...how bad is it? i've got 16 circuits dedicated to our light show now...
good job!!! i love what you did....

Ghost of Spookie... I make zero money on all my videos. Why? Because all my music is copyrighted. None of the music is mine. Therefore how can I make money on that. And 2. Youtube puts ads on videos if you don't own the rights to the audio. And when you are on a phone, ipod, ipad, or any mobile device. Youtube cant show a ad there. So in that case they wont show the video unless they can make money.

So to answer your questions... 1. No I did not choose to put ads in my video. I hate those freaking things. 2. No im not choosing to make any money off it. Even if people drove by my house its completely free. So no. And 3. I actually am here for halloween. I spend thousands on my show because I love what I do. I do it because people love it. I make zero money on my show. I actually work 2 jobs to make the money so I could do this each and every year. 3. So why not post it without ads? Because its not my music. Not my choice to put ads there.

Thank you so much!! I am a complete light freak too! I play with lights for a living! :) The show is actually up and running now! And there are a lot of extension chords! A lot of the channels are my pixel nodes that go around the roof line of my house. Id love to see your show!

Well they are ghosts of course! :)

Actually there is the same setup behind each tombstone. The setup is... I have a sprinkler valve connected to a air compressor. And when I power the valve thru my lighting controller the air shoots the foam ball covered in white silk up a rod and falls right back in the place it needs to be.

Everyone who comes by LOVES them!
