My Story,
Last year I prepaid $74 for a year's subscription to the 13th hour magazine. 12 months later, I never received an issue. I called them at least 12 times and each time was told I would get a call back and a refund. Finally today they admitted to me the reason I was given the run around was because the bank forced them into bankrupcy. When I asked why I wasn't just told the truth early on (which I may have accepted as a risk of prepaying) I was told "...it was embarrassing..." Talk about an unprofessional response and decision. I was promised (again) a refund of my money with a check cut on this Friday. If I don't receive it, I will make sure that every member of this forum knows my experience and the name of the magazine and it's publisher. I realize that businesses fail every day but it's the way you communicate and treat your readers that determines whether you ever regain a second chance. This was a bad experience for sure.
