Hard to believe but this is my 20 pneumatic prop So I wanted to connect a little bit more with some of the teens/adults so I decided to pull this from the Dark Souls video game series. This skeleton wheel is a PITA in this game. For those who do not know it is a spiked wheel with a skeleton...

Hey haunters. I am new to the Halloween scene but always loved it growing up and now that I have my own place I can decorated I'm super excited. I had seen videos of Axworthy ghosts (flying crank ghosts) over the years and looked a little bit into it. The opportunity presented itself when I was...

My carnevil wheel is coming along. I added a DC motor with a H-Bridge. Using an Arduino for control, I started the wheel up and using PWM pins, I decremented it down to a stop. I will be painting the wheel up, here I added a spiral design to see what it would look like spinning.

So I'm venturing into animated props this year, which I've never done. I have basically zero experience with motors or electronics of any kind. I'm going with a creepy carnival theme, and I thought I would start with something simple...a big carnival wheel game that spins slowly in my front...

So, I am getting a very late start this year. Ours is a small haunt for one night only. Actually it is not that small, but for one night only. We setup on a hiking trail at a local campground, so it is about 1/4 mile long through the woods. We try to stay within one theme, instead of...

Thought I'd start keeping track of my burgeoning pirate themed Halloween this year and start condensing everything into one thread before I get carried away. So all my future props and bits and bobs will be in one place. I've started doing the top level of my garden as part of a sunken wreck...

Next year, I am going to have to go with a haunted carnival theme. I just thought of an awesome idea for a Spinning Wheel of Death. I would do the traditional side show, only in this act the knife thrower missed and hit the girl, leaving her life less body hanging from the wheel slowly...

Looking for some advice prior to starting project. I am going to build a rotating wheel of death to have in my CarnEvil theme. Has anyone built one before? I am going to use a smaller motor so looking to make it light weight, something like wood frame with cardboard for the wheel. If...

The motor is simply too weak to get the job done. I decided to try and automate my pirate ship's wheel this year and since the Kindy's deer motors appear to be a simple plug and play it seemed like a great fit for this project. So when they came back in stock this year I ordered one. I...

I'm planning on a Carnival theme this year and want to build a Ferris wheel. Its only a prop and will be filled with 4' skeleton riders not humans. Has anyone out there made one and can give me any advice? I have a rotating x-mas tree base that I am planning to mount horizontally on the...

Hey everyone. Has anyone had any experience building a full size carnival knife throwing wheel that could hold an actual person? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  17. Party Ideas. Experiences and Recipes
Hi Everyone, I need your help! This year at our party (coming up this Saturday ) we are playing the Murder Winking Game and Tempt Your Fate. I don't think this will be a problem as the Winking Game went off without a hitch last year and throwing Tempt Your Fate into the mix shouldn't...

Hi, Has anyone done a breaking wheel prop? I'm planning on doing one this year with a Walgreens skeleton.

I have stolen many great ideas from this forum over the years, but never actually posted. I'm definitely a lurker. A couple of years ago, I had my brother build me a couple of spinning wheels to use for my annual Halloween party. There is a wheel of "mis"fortune for the adults, and a mini...
