I've downloaded some clips of ghosts that I want to put into a looping video. I have iMovie but I've never used it for this type of editing. Any thoughts - should we get a different app? Any input is appreciated.

I am working with my high school students creating an effect for our haunted house fundraiser. They want to take video of a girl and and then have her fade out or have a glitch or flicker and disappear. I have very little knowledge in this area. Can anyone help me get this going? Thanks.
