Greetings everybody Who said that easter doesn`t have to do anything with halloween? Okay both is on different times but you can play with it a bit couldn`t you. I came up with the idea in 2014 by thinking what I could do as easter decoration in "Dark Passage's" style and here is it. A genetic...

In the past the front row of my graveyard was a series of dollar store coolers turned upside down. For some I put the lid on the bottom for a bit more decoration. They hid the lights that illuminated the rows behind them. The trouble with these came at night because they were essentially dead...

Just ordered the Peanuts cutouts from Oriental Trading. What is the best way to hang them on walls? Hole punch the center and hang on a nail? Hole punch and put a ribbon through? Grommet? My mom would always tape hers up, but they would often fall down, and the tape takes some of the color off...

I made a rotting head using the shop towel and latex corpsing method. Figured I should make yet another tutorial video while I was at it. I'm going to make a second, even more rotted head that will be missing the lower jaw. Both of mine will be impaled on a stick or stake, but you can make them...

I'm already planning my yard display for next year and I really like this lighting trick I saw on Stiltbeast Studios youtube page So I want to make a bunch of props & signs that in blue light look somewhat friendly/normal, but in red light look super scary. For example: a large sign where...

Checking to see who has the best method for making stuff look rusty (cauldrons, pvc cemetery fencing, etc.). I am interested in how you get the right texture, what color(s) you use, any tips at all. And you get extra credit for posting pics...thanks.

I have this motor with pulley that is attached to my cage prop that I want to spin a couple feet off the ground. Are there any suggestions on how I can anchor this motor to some fixed point? I tried attached to a long piece of wood whose ends were held between two bird feeder poles but I'm...

Hey haunters! Help please, I purchased three witch masks not knowing that they weren't FULL masks. They have a strap to go around the back of the head. I need to make them more 3 dimensional and fit over the pvc frame I built for them. I considered the Stiltbeast method with using gorilla...

I like corpsing skeletons with masking latex and cheesecloth, then staining. But after a couple seasons, the latex seems dried out. To anyone who does this method, do you coat the latex with anything after staining to preserve/weatherproof it?

This is my first year having a pose-n-stay skeleton. I need them standing in my display. How do you all get yours to stay standing in the yard? If you have pictures of your method that would help immensely. Thanks!

Getting ready to try my hand at some tombstone construction and was looking for some advice. I've watched some tutorials on Youtube and see that there's a few different methods folks use. Wanted to get your take on some of these... Lettering... I see iron on method and the trace method...

Greetings all. I wonder if someone could share a bit of advice on latex mask production. I bought a video showing the process of making a mold of my monster clay sculpture in UtraCal/Burlap, and it suggests taking a full day to cure the latex once the mold is complete and latex poured in...

I'm calling him my Halloween Goblin, but perhaps he's a bit devilish or demonic ;) Dollar store styrofoam skull, topped with Model Magic air dry clay to get some basic forms in, and Apoxie Sculpt teeth/horns. I started with Model Magic horns, but after they broke three times I realized I...

I'm currently working on a scarecrow and wanted to shape some burlap and have it retain its shape. Was thinking about soaking it in a white glue solution and then waterproofing it somehow, but I was wondering if someone had a good method they'd be willing to share. Thanks!

Each one of these is a first for me. Started with the full corpse. I used the melting plastic method. I learned a lot while doing it. The next full corpse will be much better. Then I moved on to the bloody torso, for this I used cotton balls dipped in latex caulk mixed with mineral spirits. I...

Decided to make some columns this year for my driveway. Was going to do pirates but made the last minute call to go haunted graveyard/mansion style. This is my first attempt at aging a prop using the staining method. Not to bad. Still have a bit of work to go and attach to the framing.

Hi guys! So I picked up this Vampire blood jar today at Michaels, and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on what liquid to put in it? I didn't know if just water and food colouring were the go to thing or if there was some other method people used. Thanks! :) I also plan on adding some...

Hi everyone. Its my first post so be gentle...I'm looking to reproduce a morgue scene similar to the image below and I am looking for a method of making several corpse feet using a cheap method of production because of the number required. Has anyone got any ideas that would help? I have looked...
