This is a simple yet extremely versatile light controller! It has so many applications:

So I stood in line at Michael's for at least 20 minutes this past weekend with a bunch of people buying Christmas stuff and I wondered to myself "I wonder what these people would do if they knew I was here to buy supplies for next year's Halloween and I don't care about the Xmas stuff...."...

I bought a plasma lamp back in 2002 from one of the halloween stores. The manufacture was Can You Imagine. It was called plasma lamp-plasma bat, item # 3080. the lamp had a plastic base with on/off slide switch and an intensity knob. The glass was more a cylinder than a sphere and had a winged...
Heres a quick prop using an outdoor tealight lamp, ageing it using paint, hotglue and some webbing and adding a flicker led in to the base.
the wires run up the body and through a small hole i drilled next to the hanger.
This is a recycle project and was very easy.
1 Hanging dinning room light
1 Floor Lamp
JB Weld putty
Flicker candle bulbs
1) I started with my old dinning light that was taken down. Flip all the brackets to the opposite direction, take off the...

I made this from scratch using a bucky skull and pipe. You are welcome to buy this from me, or make your own!
Happy New Year,
Since becoming paralyzed a few years ago, my Halloween costumes have become a bit more creative, because I now have a wheelchair and a service dog to decorate :p.
Last year, I transformed my wheelchair into the Royal Carriage and dressed my service dog as the Queen's Guard (guys...
Electric work scares me. Was wondering if I take the old chandelier from my dinning room flip it upside down onto a floor lamp...splice the wires together and bammmm?! I have a plug in fully electric w switch style candleabra?? Idea looks good in my head and have similar concepts where people...
On vacation so I thought I would try to get something Halloween done. Not the scariest prop but it will look good in background somewhere. I made it all from wood except the post and that's pvc. The light is one of those green yard spotlights that Menard's sells. It fit in there perfect ,not...
Just finished my first props for 2015.
The candles I made a couple of years ago but originally had flicker bulbs in them. I've had trouble with the flicker bulbs ever since I made them, so today I tore out the guts and rewired it with flicker LED's which are run with a 12vdc wall wart.
I have 4 mitsubishi ES100U projectors I purchased from a surplus auction, 2 work and 2 need bulbs, which can be purchased from Amazon at around $45.00 for a generic lamp. $50 for each working projector, $10 for each that needs a lamp. Will also consider a trade. Can ship, or pickup from...
What do you think about this statue? The angel was actually an 80s era white and gold lamp. I removed the lamp shade and wiring accessories then texture painted the prop. The base is a 1X2 frame with styrofoam facade
I know there has been a lot of posts on projectors as they are getting more and more popular. I've been thinking of getting one for a while and picked up a couple of the fx dvds at Spirit's 50% sale. I'm leaning towards an led due to the windows I'm planning on using are in a child's bedroom and...
I am making a scary clown face entrance to my house. Above the face I am making a retro-like freak show sign with the letters FUN. The letters have 40w spherical bulbs (5,5 and 7 for FUN). I made a flicker extension cord with a fluorescent starter and it works great for a lamp but not for the...
