So I decided for my large build this year to re-do my epitaph wall. It was just 2x4 foam boards with strips of wood on the back to make it firm. Over the years it started falling apart so I re-did the wall out of plywood and cut the old epitaphs so they just quickly pop into place and can be...

This year I decided to dig up the headstones from the year before. We buried them so they were even more awesome the next year. They were covered in moss and egg sacs! Pretty cool. I also made a giant cauldron and painted bottles to decorate the porch like potions. Little kids loved it! The...

That darn "35 Days" sign up there isn't helping any! Friday is my Spawn's birthday. I always start to set up the cemetery the day after. However, she is turning 21. This means Thursday night at midnight, the hubby & I will be taking her out for her first "legal" adult beverage. Friday...

Hey guys, I make little things out of cement, and my newest creation is mini tombstones. They're 3.5" tall, and have weathered marks on then like cracks and unevenness. They're pretty heavy and heavy duty as well - I use a special mix of cement with rebar. Let me know what you think...

Woo. Its been a while since I made one of these threads. Making new headstones kinda got put on hold for a couple years between wedding planning/wedding and Ghouliet's multiple foot operations that left her feeling humbuggy. So even though the 2015 prop building season is almost over, I'm going...

We have a couple of wooden headstones and crosses for Halloween. The headstones are pretty big. I would ship them with the crosses in the middle of the headstones and wrapped in bubble wrap and heavy shipping plastic. I don't think there would be a box big enough for them. I'm asking 60.00 for...

I've been browsing the forum for a while now and it's about time I joined. I'm actually trying my hand at some more advanced prop making this year. I've stuck to the simple tricks of ready made props that have just been spiced up a little, this year, I'm going to try and build foam headstones...

Hello fellow haunters - quick question about gluing styrofoam and PVC for headstones. I need to glue two 2-inch thick styrofoam (pink) slabs together, with PVC pipes in between to use for attachment to rebar. I bought glidden gripper to join the styrofoam, but will it work for the PVC too...

My husband took the list of all those who had be hanged in Washington State since the 1800's, so our tombstones are murders, rapists, and thiefs of our state. A little creepy, I know, but I guess it's a history lesson.... Does anybody else use real names?
I've read about the PVC and rebar method.... But I do not know what a rebar is hahahaha. What is a good method to secure foam tombstones into the ground?
