I am going to be a clown for Halloween and wanted to make my own accordion collar, J Von Stratton made a video I wish to follow, but I can't spend $30 on a roll of crinoline paper and need something that would still hold its shape or is similar.
The tutorial is here, . Thanks if you help!
Here's a project I finally got around to do this year. I had seen a design like this at one of the very expensive home stores and thought "I could probably do that". Painted on canvas fabric with acrylics, some of which were from dollar tree and five below. Total cost less than $10. I'm happy...

A while back I snagged an awesome rotten jack-o-lantern at Home Depot and thought it would make a great head for a big pumpkin creature. So far I've built a frame and drew up a super fast concept sketch. I've since added more support on the frame but haven't gotten new photos yet. My next steps...
So hurricane Larry came through few days ago and totally destroyed our 14ft trampoline it like it was his little b!tch.
I've been on Pinterest searching but wondering if anyone had any ideas of what I could use the trampoline legs for? Is there anything I can make or should I just scrap the...
I love decorating for Halloween and last year was the 1st year that I did a theme for the front yard....I turned a bunch of branches into the best Cemetary fence! We had the fog drifting through the Cemetary yard, through the handmade headstones and obelisks (made from foam insulation board and...
I started this project today for this Halloween. Our front entry way is going to be a bio hazard black light chemical spill. The front yard is a grave yard and inside is a hospital. Basically our story line is a hospital that had a chemical spill causing the doctors and staff to go crazy.
Happy Saturday all!
After a bit of a "out of my comfort zone" build I put together this great prop porthole. This thing has great scale and won't be lost in a room, specially if that room is being made into a ship! I built this after contacting The Weird Kid show about making the porthole to...
I am looking for a full-size skeleton that is a little bit closer to 6' tall, to replace me in a performance that I am going to be premiering at a Haunters convention and will probably keep in my repertoire. The basic gist is that I will climb into an empty coffin, and it will then...
(get it? get it? :) )
1) new LED-based JoL lights and Swamp Lamps (hat tip to Pumpkinrot) were excellent
2) new gravestone bases for the repaired ones worked
3) lauan-backed foam stones did not melt in the reflected window death rays
1) lauan-backed stones were not...
I want to share our Dark Ride with everyone, that we built in our warehouse. After our business went under from Covid, we took what was left and made a Muppet inspired ride! Thank you for taking a look.

This post got lost a couple years ago when the blogs were removed:
I was inspired by Kristie's blog post here: Halloween Count Down Clock Prop and decided to try my hand at making my own NBC countdown clock.

Hi there! Super new to both this forum and DIY, but I've had my heart set on this project for a bit and finally decided to go through with it.
So my friends and I are planning a Wasteland Party for when it's safe to gather again, and we're all planning on dressing for different apocalypse...
200' 3/8" marine anchor line and most of my white zipties.
Replaced the old web I made 11 years ago with 1/4" clothesline. The old web was a big neighborhood hit but was starting to smell very odd. Not sure if it's moldy or what. More decorations to follow once we hit October.
In the process...
