  1. New to custom props: How much should I expect to spend per diy custom prop?

    I'm new to making custom props and am wondering just how much I should expect to spend for simple pop-up props, like trash can trauma or some other pop-up props complete with sound and lights. Is $100 per prop about right? Is arduino the way to go? Also, for air cylinders, do diy pvc cylinders...

    Anyone have any experience with air cylinders and direct contact with rain water? I've been avoiding it especially with the rodless cylinders (they got pricey). I'm looking for someone to tell me it's OK or confirm my fear of using them in the rain. Mother Nature was cruel and gave me 10 years...
  5. Pneumatic: Cylinders from Ali Express, recommended or not?

    Has anyone any experience with pneumatic cylinders from Ali Express? I would like to get started with pneumatics, but it seems quite expensive. The feedback for most cylinders seems ok, but I'm not sure I should trust this too much, and perhaps they work fine at first but wear out quite fast.
