Browsing for ideas, I came across these DMX flame pots:
These would have been great 20 years ago when I was a kid trying to figure out how to make a flaming hellhole in my parent's yard.
Like I have previously mentioned, I'm going to run with a circus/sideshow/carnival theme this year...
I have used them before. They seem to match the style and color of Bucky skeletons, but are, of course, super light weight.
I only really need the lower arm and hands, not the whole arm, but I can't find anyplace that sells just the arms for the Barney instead of the whole thing.
I saw a similar "southern mourner" on Pintrest - wanted to add this as a static prop in our front entry way.
Simple in its structure (1" pipe, chicken wire, Bucky skeleton) but looks kinda elegant to me :)

Life sized Bucky skull with a flicker candle. Purchased from ACC years ago when they were still custom making props. Great display!
If you're local to the DC area, come on over and pick this guy up (anytime on the weekends or between 6pm and 8pm during the week).
I have a brand new "Sinister" Talking Bucky for sale on ebay if anyone is interested. Comes with the Audio Servo Controller mounted in the Skull.
I made a few extra Steam Punk lamps for halloween, and now I need the space for new halloween props.

I made this from scratch using a bucky skull and pipe. You are welcome to buy this from me, or make your own!
Happy New Year,
Next year I would like to try and do the talking Skull animatronics that I have seen on this site. It looks like most are suggesting the Bucky skull for it, but I really like the Harvey skull since it is more life life. It has a removable skull and hinged jaw like the bucky...but the teeth are...
Where are simple, pre-manufactured circuits, or easy-to-build
circuits to take a mic input and do a simple servo movement
of a Bucky skull's jaw in parallel with an actor speaking into
a mic? I know they're readily available, I swear I remember
seeing them and playing with them somewhere, I...
I searched around, but didn't see a post with information about what the inside of a Pose-N-Stay Skeleton's skull looks like. I see many people are using Bucky skulls or Lindberg skulls for 3 axis skulls. I already have a Pose-N-Stay Skeleton from Costco. These are relatively inexpensive -...
We have several Bucky skulls that we've added electronics to in order to make them talk. That part wasn't the problem (it's really nice to have electrical engineers in your circle of friends :D). We're having issues supporting the skulls because of their weight.
A few we want to add to the...
Each year, I have more and more pressure to come up with a better and scarier bathroom scene. Does anyone have any ideas that could be done in a small bathroom?
Here are a few pics of something I have done in the past...
Front entry prop scene... I bought cheap fresh roses from the grocery store and dried them in the oven for about an hour on a low setting. Also, I swept up dust and dirt from my patio then generously sprinkled it on everything...also sprinkled baby powder for added thickness. The spilled "wine"...
I want to make a clear-ish silicone mold of a brain that will fit into a bucky skull. I'm planning to insert LEDs into it so it's like sparkly brain - I may make it pop up out of the skull an inch or two as well but one step at a time. I've searched around and have seen brains and...
