Thanks Creepylady! The rib cage was made using pipe insulation that you can get at the hardware store (plumbing section). I cut one piece into a spine and threaded wire through it to do a spinal curve, then cut other pieces into the rib shapes I wanted. I glued everything together with hot glue and then used trash bags and a heat gun for the corpse effect. Painted with spray paint and then airbrushed in some highlights. (Which was totally overkill because it's going to be dark) Threaded some vines through and around and ta da! I think I'm going to do the next rib cage out curved twigs or palm fronds because I want to leave them outdoors and let nature take over and grow a bunch of mushrooms and lichens on them so they look creepy and old.

I’m liking the twigs idea, I have a wisteria vine, that has become a tree, the vines are 3-10 ft.long all twisty and gnarley and grab onto everything. We made an arch with them last year for the treaters to walk through.
