Hours of work
Too many to count
Each year my family chooses a new theme for our Halloween yard decorations. We get over 300 trick-or-treaters so choose to be outside and a part of the scene. This year's theme was "Conjuring."To practice social distancing and safety, the witches cauldron was placed in the back part of the yard near the house and we made face masks to wear.Husband used a 7ft staff to hand out candy from a skull's mouth. The yard was chained up with luminary bags marking 6...6...6ft spaces in front of the yard.We made skeleton mobiles out of tree branches and dollar store rat, bat and bird skeletons to illuminate the tree.Carved and painted styrofoam was used to create the mausoleum. The ground breakers were done with store bought skulls covered in paper and fabric machè.Everything is hand crafted and/or painted with uv reactive paint. It takes 5 of us a month to complete but it's always worth it.
